Baby Jack in Richmond Park and grading in Capture One

A couple of days ago was a perfect spring day so I headed to Richmond Park with my old friend Kate and baby Jack to get some photos of him. It was late afternoon and the sun sinking. I opted to shoot into the sun to get the warmth and flare that it provided and used a 70-200mm f/2.8 on my D3. Lighting was just a reflector

I graded them up from the raw files in Capture One; from the screengrabs below you can see the originals on the right and the grade on the left. You’ve got to hand it to Capture One – it’s great. Used it now for probably 8 years and it just keeps getting better and better.
