Pictures from a long weekend in Rome

Last week I was lucky enough to spend a long weekend in Rome. Winter is certainly a good time to visit as there are far fewer tourists around, making for some shorter if not non-existent queues.  The light wasn’t perfect, but then again I wasn’t there just to take pictures, but it’s certainly a wonderful city to stroll around and get lost in.

Shot on the Nikon D3 and D7000 with a combination of 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, 10.5mm fisheye and 24-120mm VR zoom (what a great travel lens).

Here are some of the shots, and more are available in the gallery here.
