A great night at the O2 a few days ago documenting Enrique Iglesias‘ Eurphoria tour. LD Travis Shirley had a huge array of Martin Mac101‘s in motion-control pods. The punch of these small LED units is really amazing. Here are some of the stills of the concert and there will be a bit of video to follow.
The Nikon D7000 once more proved its worth; all of the long lens shots below are from it with the 70-200 f/2.8. In low light it’s fast to find focus and the viewfinder is bright enough to allow accurate manual focusing too. Then for when you need to grab an important video clip, just hit record and thanks to the VR on the lens you can get a steady hand-held shot which looks amazing both on the monitor and in the edit suite the next day at 1080p HD. Oh, and all that in a light-weight body which won’t give you back ache and with a tiny battery which only used 12% of it’s capacity shooting stills and video for 3 hours solid. If only the buffer on it could cope with continuous raw shooting like the D3 can…I guess that will soon available in the form of a D700 follow-up.
